Spirit Lake Public Library – CHILDREN’S HALLOWEEN STORY TIME
October 30, 2025
Spirit Lake Public Library
The Dickinson County Nature Center invites adults to the upcoming Kenue Coffee
Hour on Thursday, October 2, at 10:30 a.m. in the cozy Maser Monarch Lodge. It’s a great chance to
enjoy a light coffee bar and hear about some fantastic local conservation and restoration projects from
knowledgeable leaders at the Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation (INHF).
Our speakers for this month will be Brian Fankhauser, Heather Jobst, and Ryan Schmidt, who
will share updates on ongoing INHF restoration efforts, including the Narrows Preserve and the
partnering with the Dickinson County Conservation Board on the Little Sioux Savanna Addition. Their
insights will shed light on how these projects play a crucial role in protecting local wildlife, enhancing
water quality, and preserving the beautiful landscapes of Dickinson County for future generations.
“Kenue Coffee Hour is a wonderful opportunity to connect with neighbors, sip coffee, and hear
directly from conservation leaders who are shaping the future of our landscapes,” said Amy Heibult,
community relations coordinator of the Dickinson County Conservation Board.
This event is completely free, and all adults are welcome! Come join us and be part of the
conversation! Follow the Dickinson County Nature Center online for updates and upcoming programs at
