BIRDING ON THE GREEN

The final session of the season for Birding on the Green will take place on Monday,
September 8th, from 7:00 to 9:00 a.m., at Brooks Golf. The program offers bird enthusiasts one more
opportunity to enjoy the unique combination of birding and the beauty of the golf course.

Participants will meet in the course parking lot, located at 1201 Brooks Park Dr, Okoboji, at 7:00 a.m.
before setting out in golf carts to explore the course as a group and spot as many bird species as
possible. The program is guided by Don Vrchota and Dickinson County Nature Center staff, who
will help with bird identification.

“Birding on the Green is such a special way to experience birding in the Iowa Great Lakes,” said
Amy Heibult, community relations coordinator of the Dickinson County Nature Center. “Everyone
is so friendly, and it’s an enjoyable time for birders to connect.”

No registration is required to attend the adult program, and a few binoculars will be provided. Like and
