Lake Park Hometown Pride Invites Public to Community Cleanup for Earth Day and Pick-Up Iowa

LAKE PARK, IA – Lake Park Hometown Pride is inviting community members to roll up their sleeves and take part in a community-wide cleanup event in celebration of Earth Day and Pick-Up Iowa.

Pick-Up Iowa is an annual initiative led by Keep Iowa Beautiful that encourages communities across the state to come together to remove litter and improve local environments through organized cleanup events. Established in 2020, Pick-Up Iowa is part of Keep America Beautiful’s Great American Cleanup, the nation’s largest community improvement program.

As a proud partner of Keep Iowa Beautiful, Lake Park Hometown Pride is committed to enhancing the beauty and livability of the community. This cleanup effort provides an opportunity for residents of all ages to get involved, give back, and take pride in their town.

Event Details:
Date: Tuesday, April 22
Time: 6:00 – 7:00 p.m.
Location: Lake Park Community Center

Participants will meet at the Community Center before heading out to designated cleanup areas around town. The City of Lake Park will provide trash bags, and Biobody Mind and Soul will supply latex gloves. Attendees are also welcome to bring their own gloves if preferred.

Community members are encouraged to bring friends, family, and neighbors to help make Lake Park shine this Earth Day. Together, small actions can make a big difference.
