| Full-time, on-site Executive Director responsible for the daily operations of administration, community engagement, and donor solicitation. Key Responsibilities: – Donor Relations (45%): Drive fundraising efforts, including major gift solicitation (prospecting, in-person meetings), developing solicitation materials, establishing an annual solicitation schedule, and planning/implementing a large annual fundraising event. – Community Engagement (30%): Promote Friends of Lakeside Lab programming through strong advocacy and consistent marketing/communications. Maintain records, organize relationship-building events, conduct facility tours, and manage weekly contact with major donors. – Administration (25%): Oversee basic accounting (QuickBooks/DonorPerfect), facilitate ongoing communication with subcontractors, ensure Board alignment, lead monthly board/committee meetings, and produce regular financial and management reports (annual budget, monthly reports). Ideal Candidate Profile: – A passion for environmental education, research, and assisting donors. – Exemplary interpersonal skills, time management, multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and strong written/spoken communication. Preferred Qualifications: – Bachelor’s degree (non-profit management, business, or environmental science coursework preferred). – 2+ years of experience in non-profit management and fundraising. Knowledge of non-profit leadership principles and experience working with a Board of Directors. – Experience with donation/accounting software and relational databases (DonorPerfect, QuickBooks, Constant Contact).
