Nicholas “Nick” Allan Pattison, the son of Merle Pattison and Peggy (Johnson) Pattison was born on July 11, 1983, in Estherville, Iowa. He died on January 27, 2026, at the Avera Holy Family Hospital in Estherville at the age of 42 years.

Nick graduated from Estherville Lincoln Central High School in 2003 before attending Iowa Lakes Community College for his Automotive Technician’s Degree. Nick loved to help his dad in the shop, being the brains of the operation. Merle purchased a 1983 S10 pickup that together Nick and Merle rebuilt. It was Nick’s pride and joy. He was a motorhead through and through, if it had an engine he enjoyed being around it, fixing it, or watching it. He loved to attend truck pulls, car shows, drag races, and area car races. Nick also enjoyed going camping.

Nick married Kasi Fisher on August 21, 2021. After having congestive heart failure, Nick was placed on the heart transplant list and only days later received the gift of a donor heart in 2022. Nick will be fondly remembered as a kindhearted, easy going, friendly, people person. He also had a good sense of humor; he enjoyed teasing and playing tricks on his friends and family. Continuing in his giving nature, in death Nick was a tissue donor to others in need.

Nick is survived by his collie Lucy; wife, Kasi Pattison; parents, Merle Pattison (Patsy Snyder) and Peggy Pattison (Alan Hagedorn); his grandma, Lorae Johnson; aunts and uncles, Mike (Linda) Pattison, Maureen Hatland, Kim Warrington, Cindy (Jim) Andre, Rick (Kathy) Johnson, and Dean (Amy) Johnson; as well as many cousins.
