This Year’s Clay County Fair To See Reduction In Nationally Known Acts At Grandstand

August 26, 2025

(Spencer)– The high cost of bringing in nationally known acts is having an impact on fairs and events throughout the country, and the Clay County Fair is no exception. Fair General Manager Jason Brockshus says it’s forced them to make a bit of a change in their grandstand lineup this year…

“We had a question mark because we kind of mixed it up a little bit. We brought in four nationally known acts instead of the traditional six. We didn’t know how that was going to sit but people have loved it. Ticket sales have been going great. If you want to see Jeff Dunham you should really go online, like this is not a marketing spot but there are just not very many seats left. So if you want to see that show on that Sunday night go online and get those booked at midwestix as soon as you can. The other shows are selling well, those tickets are available, and then rolling into the dirt events with Bulls and Broncs and then our two nights of racing. We have 410 sprint cars on Friday night, so.”

Brockshus says even though there’s a reduction in the concert lineup, there will still be grandstand entertainment each night of the fair.
