The 39th Annual Lakes Area Fire Boat Benefit is happening on Monday September 1st at 1:00 at the Barefoot Bar. Duane Zahradnik, a member of the Lakes Area Fire Boat, says there will be a lot of great items on this year’s auction.
“Its the only fundraiser we do every year for the Fire Boat. Our fire boat is 21 years old. It’s time to replace it so we’re gonna have a big auction this year. We have lots of great items and can encourage everybody to come down on Monday September 1st to the Barefoot Bar.”
Zahradnik says there was an Argo donated to them and they will auction it off on Monday.
“It’s a all terrain vehicle that was donated to us. It’s a 4 passenger. It’s heated inside and it even has a little trailer to pull behind it. And this was donated to us and we are going to auction it off to the highest bidder on Monday September 1st at the Barefoot Bar. This thing can go through the sloo, it can float on water, it’s really a neat piece of equipment.”
Zahradnik talks about some of the other items up for auction.
“We also have a fireball slim refrigerator. It’s something new this year, I’ve never gotten one of these before. Peoples gonna want this in their man cave. We have a firepit, we have neon signs, we have a fireball dispensary where you put the two bottles of fireball in there, we have a blow-up paddleboard, all kinds of golf packages, gift cards, clothing. We have something for everyone.”
