NW Aging Association Hires New Executive Director

(Spencer)– The Spencer-based Northwest Aging Association has a new Executive Director.
Tresa Knoff will head the agency beginning May 31st.

Knoff most recently served as Health Care Administrator for Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribal Health Clinics in Flandreau, South Dakota. She worked for over seven years as a Certified Quality Specialist for Sanford Quality Management and has earned licensure as a national Certified Professional in Health Care Quality.

She served as a cabinet member for the Sanford Health Service Excellence Program and was Chair of the Department Service Excellence Program. Knoff has performed extensive healthcare surveys within clinics, hospitals and nursing homes and has a broad background in regulation interpretation and policy writing.

She is a licensed nursing home administrator and has served in the past as administrator at a rural South Dakota nursing home and as department manager of a nursing home Alzheimer’s Unit.

Knoff worked for over 20 years with Social Security Disability in South Dakota and was a Mayor-appointed board member of the Sioux Falls Community Health Department.

Knoff has a Master’s Degree in Administration/Management with emphasis in health care and human resources. Her undergraduate degree is in social work, psychology and sociology.
