(Spencer)– Over 300 teachers and administrators from the Clay Central-Everly, Graettinger-Terril, Okoboji, Iowa Great Lakes Lutheran, Ruthven-Ayrshire and Spencer school districts will meet Friday (Aug. 17th) to discuss the Iowa Core Curriculum.
The group will be divided up according to grade-levels and subject-area groups to discuss things that are specific to them.
The professional development workshops are being hosted by Spencer Community Schools. The discussion groups will be facilitated by staff members from the Prairie Lakes Area Education Agency.
Organizers say Math and English/Language Arts will be the two primary focus areas for tomorrow’s (Fri.) gathering.
A second work day has been set for January 3rd, 2013, which tentatively will be hosted by the Okoboji Community Schools.
