Trinity Christian ends Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn's season
Trinity Christian ended Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn's season with a 44-36 loss in George in Class 1A District 2 Boys Basketball on Thursday night. The Hawks and Tigers were tied at 11 after one quarter. Trinity built a six point lead in the second quarter and led 19-15 at halftime. The Tigers stretched the lead to 30-21 after three quarters. In the fourth quarter, Trinity made their free throws to secure the eight point win. Thomas Brummel and Traition Cleveringa each had 12 points for the Tigers, who improve to 12-10. Ivan Abonce paced HMS with 15 points. The Hawks finish at 8-14 and graduate seven seniors.
