Three classes of sprint cars to hit the track
JACKSON - Three classes of sprint cars will be on the track at Jackson Motorplex Friday.
The Midwest Power Series and Midwest Sprint Touring Series 360 sprint cars will each make the third visit of the season for a $3,000-to-win, $400-to-start event.
Brooke Tatnell was first out of 46 drivers in the season opener and Jack Dover was tops among 37 competitors at the second race.
RaceSaver sprint cars will make their sixth appearance of the year. Bill Johnson owns a 13-point lead over Brant O’Banion in the championship standings. The top five drivers are within 17 points of each other.
Also, NSL non-wing sprint cars will for the third time this season. Brandon Halverson, who won the season opener, has a 12-point advantage over Johnny Parsons III in the championship standings. The top five in the standings are within 25 points of each other.
