Comments From Spirit Lake Coach Naet Hoaglund:

"It's tough to go on the road and win, it's even tougher when you dig yourself a 20 point hole in the first quarter.  We struggled out of the gates, especially with our energy and passiveness.  We allowed Cherokee to dictate the tempo for most of that first half and we really struggled because of it.  We were a step slow defensively and struggled to find bodies on the boards.  That being said, I'm proud of the way our girls responded from about midpoint through the second quarter through the end of the game.  We started playing at our pace.  I thought we became more aggressive looking to attack and pass out of pressure.  We cleaned some things up defensively and made Cherokee have to work harder for their offense.  We just have to come out of the gates with a little more urgency.
