SLPO Boys Co-Coach Alan Ditsworth

We were victorious tonight at MOC-Floyd Valley with a 2-1 final score. We opened the scoring in the first 19 seconds. Goal was scored by Sam Mayer on assist from Mason Harms. Mason found immediate space down the right wing and sent a great ball in to Sam for the score. The match was notched 1-1 at the half. Our winning score came midway through the second half on a breakaway goal by Gavin Harms (assist Rian Byers).

After a rather flat first half overall, we dominated the midfield and overall possession of the ball in the second half. Rian Byers locked down the midfield very well for us by winning tough challenges, and distributing the ball nicely. The defensive back line did a nice job suppressing shots by MOC late in the game. Greg Will was technically sound once again in the goal. Our intensity most of the second half was outstanding. We won balls consistently as a team in the latter half of the match. That effort won this match.
