Scelzi, Lindberg, Kouba win features
JACKSON - Dominic Scelzi, Jesse Lindberg and Jake Kouba each recorded their first feature win of the season at Jackson Motorplex Friday night.
Scelzi swept the Barb Wieskus Memorial in the Midwest Power Series as he won a heat race, the dash and the $5,000-to-won, 25-lap A Feature during an event that was co-sanctioned by the Midwest Sprint Touring Series and Nebraska 360 Sprints.
Thomas Kennedy was second by less than half a second, with MSTS points leader Lee Grosz third.
Cody Ledger was fourth, Justin Henderson fifth, Jack Dover sixth and Derrik Lusk seventh in a field that started with 47 drivers.
Travis Rilat and Jason Martin won B features.
Heat winners were Seth Brahmer, Justin Henderson, Dover, Thomas Kennedy and Scelzi.
Lindberg won the 20-lap Racesaver sprint car class, followed by Brady Forbrook, Brandon Allen, Colin Smith and Kaleb Johnson.
Lindberg and Allen were heat winners.
Kouba was first in the 15-lap NSL non-wing sprint feature.
Clinton Bruns was second, followed by Jeremy Kerzman, Brandon Halverson and Alex Schriever. Schriever won the heat race.
There are two big events at Jackson Motorplex week.
On Wednesday, it's the Ben Nothdurft Memorial for the Tri-State Late Model Series, IMCA modifieds, IMCA stock cars, IMCA hobby stocks, IMCA sport mods and IMCA sport compacts.
Running Friday will be the All Star Circuit of Champions and outlaw sprints, along with Racesaver sprint cars and NSL non-wing sprint cars.
