Postseason Awards For Two Okoboji Basketball Players

Stumbo Named First Team All-State

            Okoboji standout junior point guard Kallyn Stumbo has been named Class 3A First Team All-State by the Iowa Print Sportswriters Association (IPSWA).  Stumbo helped lead the Pioneers to a 19-3 record, including the Siouxland Conference Championship.  The versatile guard averaged 16.5 points per game (9th in 3A), 10.4 rebounds per game (6th in 3A), 6.1 assists per game (1st in 3A) and 2.6 steals per game. 

 

 

Pioneer Guards Selected All-State

            Okoboji junior guards Kallyn Stumbo (1st Team) and Magan Christopherson (3rd Team) have been named All-State by the Iowa Girls Coaches Association.   Stumbo averaged 16.5 points per game (9th in 3A), 10.4 rebounds per game (6th in 3A), 6.1 assists per game (1st in 3A) and 2.6 steals per game this past season.  Christopherson averaged 15.9 points per game (11th in 3A), 3.9 rebounds per game, 3.6 assists per game and 1.9 steals per game.  The backcourt duo helped lead Okoboji to a 19-3 record and Siouxland Conference Championship, the Pioneers second title in four years.
