Comments From Okoboji Coach John Adams

I have loved our energy and attention to detail this entire week. We’ve really turned things up and had a sense of urgency on the defensive end, which has helped get our offense going with some easy baskets in transition. Kallyn got us going early with 17 points in the first half, and had another all-around fantastic game; Magan hit some nice shots and also guarded and rebounded very well; Carissa had another great game, and Camry really guarded extremely well. Our bench gave us some great minutes again, and it’s so fun to see this group get more excited for a teammate to score than they do when they score themselves.

Comments From Okoboji Coach Ryan Stumbo

We knew this was going to be another really hard fought game that would require toughness and composure from start to finish. We were really proud of our guys, particularly throughout the first half of the fourth quarter for buckling down and finding ways to maintain the lead despite the intensity and energy Rock Valley brought. We had really good offensive discipline late in the game that allowed us to secure this one tonight.  It was just a hard fought competitive game all around and both teams deserve a lot of credit for how hard they played tonight.
