MSTS to compete; Fairmont opens season
HARTFORD, S.D. - The Midwest Sprint Touring Series will run Saturday at I-90 Speedway.
Jack Dover (Springfield, Neb.) leads the MSTS point standings by five points Lee Grosz (Watertown, S.D.). Ryan Bickett (Ramona, S.D.) and Brendan Mullen (Grand Forks) are tied for third, 16 points off the pace.
Also competing at I-90 Saturday night will be IMCA Sprint Cars, Late Model Street Stocks, B-Modifieds and Hobby Stocks.
Fairmont Raceway will have its season opener Saturday night.
No specators will be allowed in the grandstand.
Classes competing will be IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars , IMCA Sport Mods, IMCA Hobby Stocks and IMCA Sport Compacts.
Feature winners Friday night at Rapid Speedway in Rock Rapids:
Stock cars – Colton Arends, Luverne (Trent Schroeder of Worthington was fifth and Jason Fisher of Lakefield sixth)
Hobby stocks – Dustin Gulbrandson, Sioux Falls
B modifieds – Cole Christensen, Sioux Falls
Sportsmans – Bill Kroon, Rock Rapids
