Mammoth player to continue hockey career
SPIRIT LAKE - Dan Hoerichs has become the first player from the Boji Mammoths hockey program to sign a contract to continue his hockey career.
The defenseman has signed a contract with the Islanders Hockey Club of the United States Premier Hockey League Elite Division.
Hoerichs is a Milford native who began playing hockey by following his older brothers to the ice. He spent most of his youth hockey career with the Boji Blizzard and the last three seasons with the Boji Mammoths.
He was named captain his senior year and compiled nine goals and 13 assists for 22 points in 24 games.
The Islanders Hockey Club is a member of the USPHL, located in Tyngsborough, Mass.
The USPHL is a program to develop players for college hockey through a tiered development program.
