Laker basketball teams split

The Iowa Lakes Community College basketball teams split on Saturday.

The Laker men moved their record to 15-7 with a 119-116 double-overtime win over Dakota County.

Kyle Beisch (Fort Dodge) led ILCC with 27 points, with Solomon Clayton (Fort Dodge) contributing a double-double of 23 points and 13 rebounds.

Nick Wagner (Galesville, Wis.) scored 16 points, Christian Kyles (Siouxland Christian) 13 points and Jacob Rau (Waukee) 12.

The Lakers will travel to Winnebago, Neb. on Monday to play Little Priest Tribal College.

Meanwhile, the Iowa Lakes women lost at Southeastern 68-64.

Marissa Ruiz (Simley) led Iowa Lakes with 16 points, with Lemia Ntor-Ue (Osseo) scoring 11 and Mia Wassink (Edgerton) 10.

The Iowa Lakes will host Little Priest Tribal College Wednesday.
