Jordan Kyle K's 16 Batters as H-LP Defeats Gehlen
Harris-Lake Park junior Jordan Kyle was on point striking out 16 LeMars Gehlen batters as the wolves beat the jays 4-3 in War Eagle Conference baseball Monday night in Lake Park. Gehlen took the lead first 1-0 in the top of the 3rd inning. H-LP would answer in the bottom of the frame manufacturing a run to tie it a 3. In the 5th inning, Gehlen took the lead again 2-1. Once again, H-LP would answer with 3 runs this time including a big 2 out 2 RBI hit by Bret Sohn to give the wolves their first lead 4-3. LeMars Gehlen would add a run in the 6th inning but Harris-Lake Park would hold them in the 7th inning and get the 1 run victory.
H-LP got 4 runs on 6 hits. They were led by Bret Sohn going 1-2 with 2 RBI's, Zach Heikens was 3-3 with 2 runs scored. Jordan Kyle got the win on the mound. He was outstanding for Harris-Lake Park. He went 7 innings, allowing only 2 earned runs, scattering 5 hits and striking out 16 batters. Harris-Lake Park improves to 4-1 and will host South O'Brien Wednesday. LeMars Gehlen drops to 4-4 on the season.
