Iowa Lakes Womens Basketball Signs Local Athlete
Iowa Lakes Community College Head Coach Ashley Martin signs Ally Schlaeger, a 5’8” guard from Spencer, IA.
“We are very excited to welcome Ally and her family to our Laker women’s basketball program. Ally’s desire to compete and love of the game will be a great addition to our program and will help her to be very successful at Iowa Lakes. Ally will be a very versatile guard for us at Iowa Lakes in that she can play the 1-3 for us. She sees the floor very well and can knock down a shot from the outside. We are very happy that Ally decided to be a Laker,” said Coach Martin.

“Ally has a great work ethic and passion for the game of basketball. She has been a great leader by example for our program. I’m really excited for her and her opportunity to continue her basketball career at Iowa Lakes Community College,” said Matt Stevenson, head coach at Spencer High School.
Ally had this to say about her decision to become a Laker, “I am excited for my opportunity at Iowa Lakes Community College because it is close to home and the team and coaches made me feel at home.
