Iowa Lakes Men's Basketball Takes Home 3rd Place
The Iowa Lakes men’s basketball team won its final game of the NJCAA Division 2 National Tournament today when they defeated 4th seeded Garrett 90-71. The win was head coach Troy Larson's 300th at the helm.
The Lakers were led by Keshawn Pegues with 26 points. Pegues was also the Lakers leading rebounder with 8. Dillon Carlson added 20 points and Ryan Hall finished with 13.
Garrett was led by Davie Molloy with 26 points.
Head Coach Troy Larson had this to say about the game. "I am extremely proud of our guys and really appreciate how hard they competed. Our guys were tired from playing 4 games in 4 nights and are bench really gave us a great lift. It really was an all-around effort tonight. We were tough on the defensive end got loose balls when we needed, we were able to get great looks around the basket which led us to making some perimeter shots as well. ”
Iowa Lakes finished the season 22-7 overall.
