Iowa Lakes basketball teams sweep Wesleyan
ESTHERVILLE – The Iowa Lakes Community College women's and men's basketball teams both defeated the Dakota Wesleyan JV Monday night.
Iowa Lakes won the women's game 82-77.
Samantha Hagedorn scored 21 points for the Lakers, with Breanna Wendland adding 19.
Shareece Smith recorded a double-double with 14 points and 11 assists and Safiyer Coleman added 12 points.
The Lakers, now 8-1, are on the road this weekend, playing at the St. Catherine Friday and St. Thomas JV Saturday.
ILCC won the men's game 92-78, with Kevin Jennings and Brandun Robinson scoring 17 points apiece. Robinson also had 11 rebounds.
Also scoring in double figures for the Lakers were Lamontae Lewis with 14 points, Equan Ards with 13 and Alan Kikwaki with 11.
The Laker men will travel to Burlington to take on Southeastern on Saturday night.
