Indians top Huskies in four

JACKSON - Spirit Lake closed out its regular-season volleyball schedule Thursday night with a 3-1 nonconference win over Jackson County Central. Set scores were 25-13, 25-17, 23-25, 25-20.

Sadie Voss was 14-for-14 serving with one ace for the Huskies, Alaina Wolff was 14-16 (one ace) and Jordan Rogotzke had an ace serve.

Wolff recorded 19 digs, Voss 12 and Cali Cranston seven.

Grace Brinkman had 17 set assists and Megan Gallagher 13. Alaina Wolff had 20 kills and Voss 10.

Emma Loveall had 17 kills and Kia Kriener 16 for Spirit Lake. Emma Jenness had 41 set assists.

Cameron Quance had 14 digs and Kriener 13. Jordyn Hamm had four blocks.

Loveall was 17-21 serving (eight aces), Kriener 19-20 (four aces) and Hamm 19-21 (one ace).

The Indians, now 31-7, host Estherville Lincoln Central Wednesday in a first-round match in the Class 3A Region 1 tournament. JCC (17-5) plays at the Todd Bachman Invitational Friday and Saturday at Lakeville North High School.
