IMCA races slated at Motorplex
JACKSON - Maybe the fourth time will be the charm.
Jackson Motorplex is scheduled to host the Ben Nothdurft Memorial for the Tri-State Late Model Series, IMCA modifieds, IMCA stock cars, IMCA hobby stocks, IMCA sport mods and IMCA sport compacts on Wednesday.
The event has been postponed by weather three times.
A unique format is being used as the winner’s payout in the A Main will be doubled if 20 or more cars show up in a given IMCA class.
Without the bonus, IMCA A mods will race for $600 to win, IMCA stock cars and IMCA sport mods pay $500 to the winner, the IMCA hobby stocks winner will be awarded $300 and the IMCA sport compacts victor takes home $200.
And Wednesday is the first of three straight nights of events in as many nights at Jackson Motorplex.
Thursday is the PRCA Barnes Bull Riding Challenge, including the Mutton Buster Challenge for children ages10 and under.
On Friday, former NASCAR driver and current team owner Tony Stewart headlines Tony Stewart Night.
Stewart is scheduled to race as well as sign autographs at his trailer following the A Main on a night that hosts the All Star Circuit of Champions and Outlaw Sprints for the Richard White Memorial.
IMCA 305 sprint cars will also be in action Friday.
