ILCC golfer qualifies for national tourney

ANKENY - Iowa Lakes Community College freshman Annika DuMoulin has earned a spot to compete at the NJCAA Women's National Golf Championship after a fifth-place finish in the Region XI tourney.

DuMoulin, who is from Lonsdale and graduate from New Prague High School, had rounds of  88, 81, 86 and 82 for a 72-hole hole tourney of 337 in the region tourney, which was held over the last two weekends at Otter Creek Golf Club.

She also earned a place on the all-tournament team and was awarded first-team all-region honors.

The NJCAA Women's National Golf Championship is May 14-17 at Longbow Golf Club in Mesa, Ariz.

Freshman Molly Diekmann (Estherville Lincoln Central) of ILCC had a four-day total of 405 on rounds of 110, 99, 97 and 99 to finish in 21st place.
