HLP Baseball Takes Down HMS

A seven run third inning propelled Harris-Lake Park to a 13-2 win in five innings over Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn in War Eagle Conference baseball on Tuesday night in Hartley.  H-LP scored three runs in each of the first two innings before adding seven more in the third.  HMS got their two runs in the fifth.  Bret Sohn was 3-for-4 with five RBI and two runs scored for the Wolves.  Zach Heikens was 3-for-4 with three RBI for H-LP.  Heikens was the winning pitcher, giving up two runs (one earned), on three hits.  He struck out six and walked three.  H-LP improves to 3-0.  They play at Remsen St. Mary's on Wednesday.  Seth Morphew, Hunter Dorhout, and Hunter Orthmann all went 1-for-3 for the Hawks, who fall to 2-4.  HMS travels to Akron-Westfield on Wednesday.
