Harris-Lake Park Basketball Splits With MMC/RU
Marcus-Meridan-Cleghorn/Remsen Union scored the first eight points of the game and never trailed in a 48-35 win over Harris-Lake Park. The Royals led 13-9 after one quarter, extended the lead to 28-18 at halftime and 40-24 after three quarters. Turnovers were an issue for both teams in the contest with H-LP committing 27 to MMC/RU's 26. Rae Tucker led the Royals with 13 points while Emily Moser added 11. MMC/RU is 3-2. Harris-Lake Park picked up their first win of the season on Tuesday night, downing Marcus-Meridan-Cleghorn/Remsen Union 50-35. The Wolves led 17-9 after one quarter and 33-15 at halftime. Despite the good first half, H-LP scored just three points in the third quarter which allowed the Royals to cut the lead to 36-25 to start the fourth quarter. The Wolves would get more than enough offense though in the final quarter to seal the win. Jordan Kyle had a solid night for H-LP.
