H-LP Volleyball Beats HMS On Senior Night
Harris-Lake Park defeated Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn 3-1 (22-25, 25-23, 25-17, 25-13) in War Eagle Conference Volleyball on Thursday night. In game one, the Hawks took an early 9-5 lead and held a two to three point lead for most of the set to win 25-22. Game two was also back and forth with HLP building as much as a 14-7 lead, only to see HMS get as close as 24-23. The Wolves won 25-23. Game three saw HLP build a 16-8 lead and hold on to win by eight. The Hawks ran out of gas in game four and the Wolves picked up the 25-13 win. HLP’s Taylor Meyer broke the school record for kills in a match with 33. With the win, the Wolves improve to 16-7 (6-2 War Eagle). They host their own tournament on Saturday. HMS falls to 9-13 (3-5 War Eagle). They host Akron-Westfield on Tuesday.
