H-LP Softball Hosts Gehlen On Senior Night
LeMars Gehlen defeated Harris-Lake Park softball 15-3 in six innings on Wednesday night. The Jays scored four runs in the third, only to see HLP answer with three in the bottom half of the inning. In the fifth, the Jays broke the game open with seven more runs. They added four in the sixth to end the game early. Addison Weber was 5-for-5 with four RBIs for the Jays. Brooke Woerdehoff got the win in center circle. She pitched the first four innings, giving up three runs on four hits, striking out three, and walking none. Riley Schnepf pitched the final two innings. She gave up no runs on two hits, striking out four and walking none. Gehlen improves to 11-13. Mady Brevik hit a three run homer for the Wolves and was 2-for-3 overall. HLP falls to 8-10. The Wolves have a double header on Thursday. They will play at Unity Christian at 3pm. They will stay in Orange City for a game against Akron-Westfield afterwards.
