Grosz, Mueller win 360 Nationals titles
JACKSON - Lee Grosz and Bill Mueller won their classes on the final night of the Jackson 360 Nationals at Jackson Motorplex.
Grosz led all 30 laps of the Midwest Power Series and Midwest Sprint Touring Series 360 sprint cars main event to garner his third win of the season and wrap up the track championship.
Justin Henderson was second, with Josh Baughman, Jack Dover and Trey Starks rounding out the top five.
Grosz won the dash before he won the feature Sunday. Sawyer Phillips won the 20-lap B Feature. Heat winners were Matt Juhl, Jack Dover, Thomas Kennedy and Clint Garner.
Mueller moved into the top spot at the midpoint of the 25-lap National Sprint League non-wing sprint cars feature as he claimed his second straight triumph at Jackson Motorplex, winning the feature by 1.996 seconds.
Cam Schafer was second, followed by Eric Schulz, Brandon Halverson and Alex Schriever.
Halverson won the heat race and Schriever the dash.
The final event of the season at Jackson Motorplex is the Open Wheel Nationals Sept. 20-21, featuring the IRA Sprint Car Series and Outlaw Sprints 410 winged sprint cars, as well as the RaceSaver sprint cars and NSL non-wing sprint cars.
