Emmetsburg With First Road Test At Storm Lake

Storm Lake would hit the first 3 of the ball game and led 3-0 early on before Emmetsburg closed out the 1st quarter on a 19-2 run in route to a 54-26 road victory in Storm Lake.  The E'hawks would push their lead to 30-8 at half and 44-16 after 3.  Emmetsburg would have 9 different scorers on the night  but were paced by Alexa Naig with 15 points.  Storm Lake was led by Dezirae Reyes with 9 points.  Emmetsburg improves to 3-1 and 3-0 in the conference and will host Western Christian Friday.  Storm Lake drops to 0-7 and 0-3 in conference play and will host Spencer on Friday.



Boys Game


Storm Lake controlled most of the 1st half and had a 41-29 lead at halftime.  In the 2nd half, Emmetsburg held Storm Lake to just 16 points but the Tornadoes held on for a 57-52 win over the E'hawks.  Emmetsburg outscored Storm Lake 23-16 in the 2nd half but ran out of time in the end and are left still searching for their first win.  Storm Lake shot 50% for the ball game and made 6 three pointers on the night.  Despite the loss, Emmetsburg shot 43% and made 5 three pointers.  Storm Lake was led by Joshua Werge with 19 points and Parker Lange with 17.  Emmetsburg was led by Cooper Hofstad with 14 and West Schultes with 13.  Storm Lake gets their first win of the season and are 1-3, 1-2 in conference and will host Spencer Friday.  Emmetsburg is 0-4, 0-3 in conference play and will host Western Christian Friday.
