Class 3A Region 1

 

The Spirit Lake volleyball season came to an end Tuesday night in a Class 3A Region 1 semifinal match against East Sac.  The scores were 23-25, 25-18, 25-23, 25-12 in favor of East Sac as they won 3-1 over Spirit Lake.  The difference was in Games 2 & 4.  In game 2, East Sac raced out to a 7-0 lead and never looked back and in game 4 they rushed out to a 14-0 lead and secured the win.  Spirit Lake will finish the season with a record of 30-9.  They graduate Macy Smith, Emily Parks, Kailee Jenness, Hannah DeWild, Grace Grommesh, and Makenna Murray.  East Sac improves to 27-7 and will take on Sioux Center Monday night in Cherokee in a Class 3A Region 1 Final.
