Another Laker signs with four-year school
MCPHERSON, Kan. - Another Iowa Lakes Community College women’s basketball player has signed a letter of intent to continue her basketball career at a four-year school as Destiny Brossard is headed to Central Christian College, an NAIA level school.
She's the fourth former Laker to sign, joining Breanna Wendland (William Penn), Shareece Smith (Bellevue, Neb.) and Safiyer Coleman (Mount Mercy).
Brossard transferred to Iowa Lakes for her sophomore season from Ranger College in Ranger, Tex.
She averaged 5.3 points and 5.6 rebounds per game.
"I was very grateful for the opportunity to play for Iowa Lakes," Brossard said. "Iowa was very different for me because I am a Texas girl but I enjoyed the experience and met some great people. My favorite part about Iowa Lakes was the women’s basketball team."
