Randy R. Fratzke
Randy R. Fratzke, 68, of Spirit Lake passed away on Friday, April 30, 2021 at the Good Samaritan Care Center in Windom, MN.
There will be a private family service held at the Schuchert-Lentz Funeral Home in Spirit Lake with Military Funeral Rites conducted by the American Legion Timpe Post #23 and the John W. Randy was born on August 15, 1952 in Independence, IA to Floyd Raymond and Laura Jean (Treptow) Fratzke. After graduation from Cedar Falls High School, Randy enlisted in the US Army and served his country until his honorable discharge in 1977. When he returned home, he furthered his education earning 4 separate degrees from the University of Chicago, University of Georgia, Boston College and New York Art School. He worked for GMAC for 15 years prior to starting his own photography studio. Fratzke Photography specialized primarily in commercial photography. He was married to Marianne from 1971 to 1980. To this union, a son Karl was born. He was later married to Rachelle from 1981 to 2018.
In Randy’s free time he enjoyed wood working and baking. He especially enjoyed baking sour dough bread.
Left to cherish his memory is his son Karl (Heather) Fratzke of Clarksville, TN and grandchildren Kyle (Kara), Michael Fratzke, Cameron, Natalie, Roman and Parker Schenk.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Ricky.
