(Spencer)-- A Primghar woman… arrested last January after a pursuit by law enforcement… has been sentenced in Clay County District Court.

A deputy attempted to stop a vehicle driven by 29-year-old Madison Selzer. A pursuit continued for about11 miles and ended when a tire deflation device was deployed by the O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office.

Selzer was charged with eluding, a serious misdemeanor… and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, driving under suspension, no insurance and no license plate light, all simple misdemeanors.

Selzer pleaded guilty to eluding with the other charges dismissed. She was sentenced to ten days in jail and to pay 525-dollars in fines, surcharges, and court costs.

Selzer also pleaded guilty to a charge of driving while barred, which was filed against her in April. She received a two-year suspended sentence… was placed on probation for two years… and ordered to pay one-thousand dollars in fines, surcharges, and court costs.
