We'll Learn More Friday About What's New For Food At This Year's Clay County Fair Powered By SMU; Y 100 Kid's Day Also Returning
(Spencer)-- Y100 Kid's Day is coming back to this year's Clay County Fair powered by SMU. It will be on Friday, September 17th. Fair General Manager Jeremy Parsons says not only will it be a fun day for area students, but also an educational one...
"One of that being the Manufacturing Expo, a great educational opportunity at the fair this year, partnering with the Northwest Iowa Manufacturer's Association. They're going to be bringing in simulators and robotics and really just teach the kids. And this is really geared for junior high, high school type age, different career opportunities in northwest Iowa. And so we're really excited to showcase that, and a lot of fun things for kids as well: the pedal pull will be back and lots of different activities just for kids."
On another matter, Parsons says some additional announcements on what's new at the fair will be coming out this Friday, September 3rd. He says they'll also be announcing the top five foods at this year's Clay County Fair. Typically that's done further in advance of the fair but Parsons says the continuing pandemic forced them to put that off a bit this year due to uncertainty among vendors about supplies...
"Some of these things we're waiting until kind of the last minute to make sure we really have them in place but yeah, make sure you get to ClayCountyFair.com on Friday when we release and unveil all the new stuff and then all of our social media as well."
You can also save money by purchasing gate tickets for the fair and midway rides in advance. More information can be found at Clay County Fair-dot-com.
