Voters In Several Area School Districts To Vote September 10th On Revenue Purpose Statement Measures
Thu 9-5-2019
(Spencer)-- Voters in several area school districts head to the polls next week to vote on a revenue purpose statement. Terry Heman, Superintendent of the Spencer Community Schools, says it basically amounts to a renewal of a local option sales tax...
"We've had this in place and what this does is it allows the school district to use the statewide one cent sales tax penny, or the SAVE penny, for school infrastructure. For remodeling, for construction, for vehicles, technology, those type of things."
Voters in the Spirit Lake and Okoboji School Districts will be voting on similar measures.
The vote will be held this coming Tuesday, September 10th.
