(Lakefield)-- 17 volunteers spent a portion of their weekend cleaning up Kilen Woods State Park near Lakefield. Four employees of the park also assisted in Saturday's event, made possible through a program sponsored by Federated Rural Electric Association of Jackson and Touchstone Energy Cooperative.

The volunteers were treated to a free hotdog lunch.

The GreenTouch program has organized nearly 9,700 volunteers over the past 19 years who have donated more than 35,800 hours cleaning up Minnesota's state parks.
