(Arnolds Park)-There's a new – and old - attraction at the Arnolds Park Museum, KUOO's Becky Thoreson has details:
The Park Museum at Arnolds Park Amusement Park is now home to more than 2 dozen vintage pinball games.
Tucker Flandrena says he's collected them for years. "For the last 22 years they've been in my basement and me and my friends have enjoyed playing them, and in the last 3 years I decided probably the best location for them would not be in my basement but down at the Amusement Park. So me and the Amusement Park reached an agreement last year about this time in February we moved them in. They are fully operational. They are all made in the 60s, they range from November of 1960 until the last one was made in '66. I have about 10-15 set up at any one time in the Amusement Park."
He adds that tokens are available for purchase to play the games. "We sell tokens for $1.25 each or 5 for $5. All of the machines are on 5 ball play, so you get 5 balls for a dollar if you buy 5 tokens. It's quite a bargain, really."
