Vehicle Collides With Guard Rail Sending One Person Sent to the Hospital
(Sibley)-- Authorities say a Sanborn woman was injured last Thursday when a vehicle she was driving collided with a guardrail in Osceola county.
The Sheriff's Office says 27-year-old Chelsey Zearing was driving a 2013 Nissan Pathfinder southbound on Highway 59 when she lost control on the icy road, resulting in the collision.
Zearing was taken by ambulance to the Osceola Community Hospital in Sibley with possible injuries.
The vehicle she was driving sustained an estimated $15,000 in damage; damage to the guardrail, owned by the Iowa Department of Transportation, was estimated at $4,000.
The crash took place around 6:30 pm.
The Osceola County Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Melvin ambulance.
