Two Men Sentenced On Weapons Charges
(Storm Lake)-- Two men arrested by Storm Lake Police in May on weapons charges have been sentenced.
Police were advised to be on the lookout for a vehicle and its occupants, who allegedly were involved in an armed home invasion and robbery in Hartley. Police located the vehicle… and charged 20-year-old Casey Tuttle of Spencer and 37-year-old James Bainbridge of Sioux Rapids with carrying weapons. Both pleaded guilty and were sentenced to 90 days in jail and to pay fines, surcharges, and court costs.
Both were wanted by O’Brien County authorities in connection with an armed home invasion and robbery in Hartley. Tuttle pleaded guilty to second-degree burglary in O’Brien County District Court, and last month was sentenced to ten years in prison.
Bainbridge pleaded guilty to third-degree burglary and was sentenced to five years in prison, to be served concurrently with two five-year sentences imposed in Buena Vista County for two counts of sex offender registration violations.
