Two Graettinger Residents Sentenced On Federal Meth Charges
(Emmetsburg)-- Two Graettinger residents have been sentenced in U.S. District Court on charges of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine stemming from a 3 ½ month investigation.
55-year-old Matthew Hunefeld was sentenced to 42 months imprisonment and 53-year-old Susan Rice was sentenced to 60 months in jail.
Officials say the charges were filed in August of 2016 when arrest warrants were issued, and additional charges were filed after the execution of a search warrant on Hunefeld's residence in Graettinger.
The Palo Alto and Dickinson County Sheriff's Offices and the Iowa Great Lakes Drug Task Force were involved in the investigation.
