Tuesday Evening Fire Temporarily Leaves Residents Of Jackson Apartment Complex Homeless
(Jackson, Mn.)-- A fire at the Jackson Hi-Rise Apartment Complex has displaced all of the residents of the building.
At least one apartment sustained significant fire, smoke and water damage and many other parts of the building has smoke and water damage.
Roughly 40 residents in all are now temporarily homeless. United Community Action Partners and the Red Cross assisted the residents. Many tenants were able to find shelter for the night. 18 were housed in Jackson motels by the Red Cross.
It is not known at this time what caused the fire, or when residents will be allowed to return.
