Trial For Woman Accused Of Sexual Exploitation By A Counselor Or Therapist Tentatively Set For July
(Spirit Lake)-- Trial for a Harris woman accused of having sex with a 28-year-old male client of Echo Plus is tentatively now set for July in Dickinson County District Court.
41-year-old Danielle Shadle was charged with sexual exploitation by a counselor or therapist. She pleaded not guilty to the charge back in October of last year.
Shadle was originally scheduled to go on trial January 31st.
Court documents say the alleged incidents took place several times between February 1st and October 4th and that Shadle was a staff member of the facility.
A pre-trial hearing for Shadle is set for June 6th.
Iowa law prohibits people counseling vulnerable individuals from establishing a sexual relationship with someone under their care.
