Thu 8-13-2015 []

(Estherville)-- Trial for a former Dickinson county County Attorney accused of drunk driving is set for this fall. Jason Carlstrom is set to go on trial November 3rd in Emmet county on a charge of 1st offense operating while intoxicated.

The charge stems from an incident in March of this year in which Carlstrom was pulled over by an Estherville police officer.

Carlstrom has pleaded not guilty to the charge.

Carlstrom succeeded Rosalise Olson as Dickinson County Attorney in 2010. He resigned midway through his four-year term after being appointed by Governor Terry Branstad as Chairman of the Iowa Parole Board, a position he no longer holds.
