Traveling To And From Sioux City To Become More Of A Challenge This Summer
(Le Mars)-- Getting to and from Sioux City could be more of a challenge this summer.
The Iowa Department of Transportation says a reconstruction of Highway 75 from north of Merrill to south of LeMars will require closing the southbound lanes and shifting traffic to a head-to-head pattern in each direction on the existing northbound lanes. The changeover will begin at 8:00 am Tuesday, May 16th and will continue until Friday, September 1st, weather permitting.
D.O.T officials also say an 11-foot width lane restriction will also be in place for traffic in both directions on Highway 75.
Cedar Valley Corporation is the general contractor on the $8.2 million dollar project.
Crews will be grading and replacing concrete pavement in that area.
