(Spirit Lake)-The public is invited to tour a Traveling Nativity this weekend, KUOO's Becky Thoreson has details:
Four area churches are teaming up to bring a Traveling Nativity to the Iowa Great Lakes on Sunday. Pastor Martin Lucin with Grace Lutheran Church explains. "This Sunday evening, people will have the opportunity to see Christmas come to life, with various scenes from that first Christmas coming to life at four separate locations."
He notes that the tour will begin at Calvary United Methodist Church, where participants can pick up a map and a CD. "You can drive at your own pace, you can hear Christmas music and you can hear the story being told. It starts in Arnolds Park at Calvary, to Light of The Lakes Church, where the manger scene continues to unfold. From Arnolds Park, you continue north to Spirit Lake and First Presbyterian Church. We will conclude at Grace Lutheran Church. You're invited to come inside, where we'll have something warm to drink and good to eat."
The Traveling Nativity will get underway at 5 o'clock Sunday evening and is free and open to the public.
