Transportation Costs Stand In Way Of Tuition Sharing Agreement Between CCE & Okoboji
(Everly)-- Students in the Clay Central-Everly School District that wanted to attend the Okoboji Community Schools in the upcoming school year through a tuition sharing agreement won't be able to do so.
Clay Central-Everly school officials say transportation costs stood in the way of that agreement being approved.
Clay Central-Everly students will have the option of open enrolling to the Okoboji Community School District and provide their own transportation or look at another district where tuition sharing agreements have been reached.
CCE Superintendent Dennis McClain says he understands the frustrations of parents over the decision, but he says the costs to the district couldn't be justified.
