Traffic Stop Results In Multiple Charges Against Three People

(Spencer)-- A traffic stop stemming from a report of a suspicious vehicle has resulted in multiple charges against several people. Spencer police say the stop was conducted Sunday in the parking lot of the Spencer Wal-Mart. 

During the stop the officer discovered the driver, 36-year-old Davey Crockett of Des Moines, was allegedly under the influence of narcotics and was arrested for operating while under the influence.

Upon further investigation, a passenger, 35-year-old Littleton Clark of Des Moines, was found to be allegedly in possession of marijuana and was placed under arrest.

Another female passenger, 19-year-old Haylee Rote of Des Moines, was arrested and charged with interference with official acts for allegedly giving a fictitious name. It was also discovered Rote was wanted on a valid warrant out of Dallas county for a probation violation.

A further investigation revealed Crockett was allegedly arranging sex acts in exchange for money.

Officers obtained and executed a search warrant on the vehicle resulting in them finding 29 bags of what's alleged to be marijuana, crack cocaine and methamphetamine.

In addition to OWI, Crockett was also charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, possession of cocaine with intent to deliver and pimping.

Clark was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and possession of cocaine with intent to deliver.

In addition to being charged with the warrant and interfence with offical acts, Rote was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance...methamphetamine.
